Super Sunday... At Last...

Yes, I know its been such a long time since I've done a Super Sunday post... BUT listen up because I'm about to hit you with a seriously personal experience... good... and bad!

THE BAD: So... the honest truth? I stopped posting Super Sunday's because I felt I had put on too much weight... and I felt my curves were turning into one big curve, you know... kinda like a beachball (lol)...

THE GOOD: Anyway, on June 14th I started an amazing programme, a holistic approach to weight loss that focus's on physical, mental and emotional well being.  I'm not going to get into all the details because it's a whole other story... infact, its probably a whole other blog... but I want to share with you that in the last 6 amazing weeks I have lost 15.5kg's!!! (thats around 34 pounds!)

I'd never want to be super teeny-skinny (ie. Posh-Spice), for me that would be plain un-natural, besides I love being curvy, it's part of what makes me a woman, and we women are amazingly awesome!!!
But today is the first time in aggggggeeess that I have wanted to do a Super Sunday post...
So here it is... Super Sunday, I hope you enjoy it...

Dress: TCD dress as worn in this post.
Shoes: my new, super gorgeous Sweedish Hasbeens sky high t-bar clogs... they arrived in the post last week from Modcloth, so dreamy and comfy. Yep I got it bad with this pair, seriously shoe-smitten!!!
Bag: a beautiful vintage thrift shop score $2
Scarf: Pure silk Garage sale score 50c

It's really very annoying that some of my favourite clothes are now too big, BOOOOO!!!! However I can now properly fit into more of my gorgeous vintage dress collection that have been sorrowfully stored in my wardrobe for a wee while now, WOOHOOO!!!!!

Hope you are feeling as awesome as I am...

SUPER SUNDAY... a new dress and old cowboy boots

Winter is just around the corner, there's a new freshness in the air and silence in the trees. I always love our winters... our town is always so pretty in her Winter dresses.  I'm really going to have to get out with the old canon and take some photos of her Autumn dresses too...

Speaking of dressing, its time to pull out the boots YAY!

We went to the park and here is my TCD dress, its a beautiful 'overdress' that can be worn over anything, In this post I have it over my black maxi t-shirt dress from The Warehouse which goes pretty perfect.... I've knotted the dress underneath as Caroline showed me, I like it like this, but its also pretty unknotted as it flows and falls really nicely.

Jacket: Grace Hill (Ezibuy)
Accessories: Buttons (funky Junkie) and a $1 thrifted Belt (knotted)
Shoes: Cherry Cowboy Boots (Trade Me) - I love the look my boots give this dress, it's been pretty hard to wear my boots with the right outfit, this is only the second time I've worn them... so I'm happy that they look pretty great!
Photos: Ifie, Instagram, Miss Nay Nay.

Hmmm... I wonder what will be for next Super Sunday,
I'll surprise you... and probably myself as well hehe!

It's been a while...

Hello Blog land!!!
I'm so excited! TCD (The Carpenters Daughter) monthly email newsletter came today and I was mentioned along with Curves... How cool is that? Very very cool!!!! Thanks Caroline... looking smoking hot by the way...

I wore my new TCD dress on Sunday but I was far too busy with Sunday things to take picts and by the time I had time I looked far too haggard lol! So tomorrow I'm going to take my daughter, and my camera to the park... and take some real photos...

This Saturday some of us girls are heading to Palmerston North for a girls day out in honour of the 30th birthday of Mrs 'Optimus' Prime, YAY! Looking forward to that... I'll post all about it on Saturday when I get home.

I was so disappointed that the Sweedish Hasbeen's I ordered from Buy Invite NZ aaaages ago didn't come through... aren't they're just beautiful? Yes! Boo hoo! They are!  Especially in the green, oh well, I got a refund and now have to wait for another sale to come up.

Anyway, till we meet again on Saturday why don't you go and visit some of my friends at some of my fav blogs...

...I'm loving Julie's ombre hair and gorgeous yellow dress here.  I think this will be the next thing I do to my hair, I wish I had her length as well, but the colour ROCKS!!!

...Jo's got a beautiful Mother's Day Brunch up here, complete with recipies, Mother's day is this Sunday for N.Z...

...Victoria is so lucky, recieving some lovely packages this week, check out her pressies here, she's also joined the iPhone4s gang YAY!

...And if you havent already checked out my new business venture blog with the Fantastic Mrs Fox pop in here for a browse.

Have you heard of HCG drops?  If you have let me know, positive or not so positive I want to know please.  Thanks.

Ok, see you on Saturday

Today I'm truly inspired...

Yesterday I met Founder and Creative Director of The Carpenters Daughter, Caroline Marr, when I went to check out the TCD pop up shop.

I tried a couple of things on... oh'd and ah'd more than a few times... as I came out of the dressing room wearing the black Nautical Dress I bumped right into her.  It was like I have known her for ages... and boy!  Is she trendy or what?!?! Yes she is!

Anyway today I ended up going back and buying said dress... and had a good little chat with Caroline, I found out the following...

  • she's a family girl, in fact working with her in the pop up shop was her sister in law Tracey, how cool is that!?!
  • She's super trendy... of course this is a given being the head of a lead fashion house.
  • She's got the most fabulous personality, I enjoyed my little 15 minutes with her and she was very supportive about my blog.
  • She has the most brilliant smile!
TCD was established in 1990 and I remember driving past the Takapuna store in 1999 and thinking "hmmm that looks like a funky shop".  Now it has grown so much!  Including an online store. Also having the store here in Masterton was so fab and further proof of TCD's awesome growth, growth that has obviously stemmed from plenty of hard work and determination...

Tomorrow they head to Wanganui, if you're up that way go and check them out and have a chat...

You know a few years ago, my mother in law asked me what I really wanted to do... I think I was having career issues at the time... anyway I said "I want to be the Trelise Cooper for the big girls" I laugh when I think about it now... but today I realise that "I want to be the Mrs C for me".

The Carpenter's Daughter has reiterated to me that I can be whatever I want to be... and thanks to her I am heading to bed tonight a truly inspired woman.  I hope I've passed some of it on to you too...
